Helping Children Develop Skills for Daily Living

Easter Seals-Goodwill's family-centered Pediatric Therapy Services are designed to assist children in reaching their greatest potential and developmental milestones.  We offer a full range of therapy services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and sensory integration therapy.

Our services focus on developing children's ability to perform everyday living activities such as eating, bathing, dressing and playing, by enhancing or restoring function that may have been lost due to trauma, disease, a congenital abnormality or a developmental disability. Meet our therapy staff.

At our clinic children enjoy a fun environment where they can learn and develop through play.  Our therapy staff work with each child to address limitations he or she may be experiencing in any of the following areas:

NEW!! Oral/Motor Therapy

We’re pleased to introduce MOTOR MOUTHS, Easter Seals-Goodwill’s innovative oral/motor therapy program designed to help enhance your child’s ability to eat safely and effectively. This therapy can be used even if your child is unable to follow commands or consciously participate in therapy. Our program incorporates the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol which focuses on strengthening and increasing coordination of the muscles associated with eating—the cheeks, jaw and tongue.

Two specially trained therapists, speech/language pathologist Amy Lorash and occupational therapist Amanda Racette, will work together with you to establish individualized goals and strategies to address your child’s specific issues related to eating or swallowing. When needed this therapy can also address sensory issues around feeding which might include tolerance of the smell, feel and taste of foods.

The PLAY Project®

The PLAY Project® (Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters) offers families an affordable and effective program to help their toddler or preschooler (age 14 mos. to 8 years) with Autism Spectrum Disorder gain language and social skills and build meaningful relationships. Our occupational therapist is one of only four trained PLAY Project® consultants in Montana, offering this family centered, play-based intervention program. We work with families to teach parents, siblings and other caregivers skills and techniques to help “woo” their child out of his or her isolation in order to increase socialization, build language skills and decrease repetitive behaviors.

Enrichment Programs

In addition to our programs we also offer several enrichment programs throughout the year including: Social Groups, Sibshops, Autism Support Groups for parents and Handwriting Camps.
