Inclusive Child Care

For over 50 years Easter Seals Rio Grande Valley has provided developmentally appropriate care to children with special needs through our Early Childhood Intervention program, and this spring, Easter Seals Rio Grande Valley's services will grow to include a fun place to learn and grow for children of all abilities.  The Easter Seals Child Development Center offers high-quality, affordable childcare -- a necessity for all working parents. High-quality, developmentally appropriate care can be difficult for any parent to find, and the challenge is even greater for parents of children with special needs. Easter Seals provides a safe and nurturing setting in which children of all abilities can explore their environments, hone new skills and learn from each other.

Easter Seals' full-day Child Development Center serves children from six-weeks to six years of age. Daily activities are educational, and the curriculum is driven by developmentally appropriate practices to meet each child's physical, educational, social, emotional and developmental needs.  The center is operated in collaboration with Easter Seals early intervention services, which allow children and their families' easy access to a full range of educational and therapeutic services.

Like all Easter Seals services, Easter Seals Children's Services are comprehensive and individualized to meet each client's needs and family-focused to meet each family member's concerns.  To enroll your child, please contact Easter Seals Child Development Center at (956) 631-9171.

Accreditation

All Easter Seals Child Development Centers strive to meet the accreditation guidelines set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children <http://www.naeyc.org/> (NAEYC). NAEYC accreditation is granted on a program-by-program basis. A program is not accredited by NAEYC until it has successfully completed the entire accreditation process, including an on-site visit and subsequent review by NAEYC.

Each Easter Seals facility offers ongoing training for care givers; low adult to child ratios; developmentally appropriate learning activities; and top-quality facilities that meet or exceed industry standards. As a non-profit organization, Easter Seals provides its high-quality services at costs that are affordable to families in need.
