Leaps for Autism

The Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center and FACETS (Families of Autistic Children Engaged Together for Support) are collaborating to host the first-ever Leaps for Autism Walkathon. This event will be held on April 5th at Austin's Colony Park in Bryan, Texas and will be the first walkathon in B-CS to help raise autism awareness.

Did you know that the Autism Clinic at BVRC is the only program that provides Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy in our area? ABA therapy is considered to be the gold standard and is research supported as one of the most effective treatments for children with autism.

BVRC has an income-based financial assistance program and the goal of Leaps for Autism is to raise funds to help families gain access to this valuable therapy for their children. Funds raised through this event will help to expand services in the Autism Clinic and will provide respite care for families.

You can help us reach our goal of $10,000 by participating as an individual walker or by forming a team.

There is no registration fee to walk. Participants/teams who raise $50 in donations will receive a free T-shirt. Individuals who raise over $500 will be entered into a drawing to win a 40 inch Sony LED HDTV.
