Help Easter Seals Tennessee Create Solutions and Change Lives

Creating solutions and changing lives is what we do at Easter Seals Tennessee. Join us and you, too, can make a difference and help people with disabilities achieve their goals. Volunteer your time to share your talents, whether performing office work, volunteering at events and camps, or another way you can help. Contact Easter Seals in your area to learn more.

Need more convincing? In the words of Edgar "Daddy" Allen, founder of Easter Seals, "We have but one life. We get nothing out of that life except by putting something into it. To relieve suffering, to help the unfortunate, to do kind acts and deeds is, after all, the one sure way to secure happiness or to achieve real success. Your life and mine shall be valued not by what we take...but by what we give

R. Dale bay

The recipient of our 2013 Buddy Killen Memorial Volunteer Service Award was R. Dale Bay of Nashville. Bay is a managing partner in the Nashville office of Lewis, King, Krieg & Waldrop, PC. Since beginning his practice in 1984, Bay has concentrated in the area of civil jury trial litigation in state and federal courts throughout the southeastern United States. Bay's litigation work includes tort, product liability, professional malpractice defense, transportation/trucking law, aviation law, personal injury automobile/personal lines, employment discrimination, and business and commercial litigation. He has defended numerous complex, multimillion dollar personal injury claims in both state and federal courts, representing a variety of national and international clients as well as local companies and professionals.

Bay is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the International Association of Defense Counsel and is one of the firm’s Nashville contacts for ALFA International.

Bay holds a bachelor of science from Middle Tennessee State University, and attained J.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1984.

From a very early age, Bay and his dad began their relationship with Easter Seals Tennessee by riding their horses over to camp and inviting our campers to experience the joy of riding a horse. Bay has continued his service to Easter Seals Tennessee as a volunteer, specifically with regards to our annual Youth Fishing Tournament. This event has grown and prospered due to Bay's assistance and involvement. Moreover, each year he donates the prizes that our campers receive for their participation in the tournament. The smiles that he generates from his contributions are immeasurable and go such a long way in positively reinforcing the lives of many special children.
