Wal-Mart in North Kingstown recently awarded Easter Seals Rhode Island with a Good Works grant for $1,000. The gift will help to support more than 200 children and families receiving Easter Seals Early Intervention Services throughout the state. “The Wal-Mart Foundation and Wal-Mart are committed to addressing the unmet needs in our community,” said Alexis Tulli, Wal-Mart North Kingstown Good Works Committee. Easter Seals Rhode Island provides exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities. Our early intervention program serves children (age’s birth to three) who have diagnosed medical conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders or Down Syndrome, developmental delay or risk of disability due to a variety of environmental and/ or organic factors.
