Pediatric Outpatient Program Received $2,000 from Ocean States Charities Trust

Ocean State Charities Trust recently granted Easter Seals RI $2,000 in support of the Pediatric Outpatient Program in Wakefield, RI. Funding will be used to provide speech, language and social interaction groups, as well as, music therapy and hippotherapy to the program.

The family-centered Pediatric Outpatient Program opened in October 2011 and provides outpatient occupational therapy services for children and young adults, through age 21. The program offers physical, occupational and aquatic therapies, as well as group opportunities to help focus on developing a child’s ability to perform everyday living activities by enhancing or restoring function.

“We are pleased to have the generous support of Ocean State Charities Trust which will provide hippotherapy along with social and music therapy groups to children and young adults in our local community,” says Patricia O’Leary, Easter Seals RI Physical Therapist.
