Connect With Your Child Through Infant Massage Classes Offered At Easter Seals Rhode Island

Have you ever wondered how you, as a parent, could bond with your baby? The Certified Educators of Infant Massage at Easter Seals RI are offering a 5-week course during the month of August for parents of children 8 weeks to 10 months old (or pre-crawlers) to help you learn how to bond with your young one.

Each class will teach parents how to massage his or her baby as a means of enhancing bonding and communication.  Parents and babies meet in a supportive, relaxed environment to learn massage techniques and the importance of nurturing touch. Some of the potential benefits of infant massage include: relief of gas or constipation, relaxation leading to better sleep patterns, and promotion of bonding by learning to read your child’s individual communication cues.

Classes begin on Thursday, October 1, and are held every Thursday through November 1, from 9:00 to10:15 a.m. at Easter Seals RI—213 Robinson Street, Wakefield. The 5-week course is $60, and space is limited, so reserve your spot today.

To register please call, Rachael Corr, RN, at 401-284-1000 ext. 17
