An Afternoon of Fun in the Sun Benefits Children with Special Needs and Disabilities
Paddy’s and Easter Seals Rhode Island Team Up for a Cause

Paul and Anne Marie Doyle, co-owners of Paddy’s restaurant, generously donated a portion of their restaurant’s proceeds to Easter Seals Rhode Island on Sunday, August 15th. Patrons of the restaurant in Westerly not only enjoyed a beautiful Sunday outside, with live entertainment and thirst-quenching beverages, but they also helped raise awareness and an amazing $2,600 for Easter Seals Rhode Island, which serves over 300 children with special needs and disabilities in South County.

“Our daughter, Fiona, inspired this fun event,” smiled Anne Marie Doyle. “Fiona was born with a hand anomaly and, as a result, our family has been working with physical therapists from Easter Seals Rhode Island; the support we’ve received has been incredible and we were happy to raise awareness for the important services provided by Easter Seals.”

“We are thrilled the Doyle family generously offered a portion of Sunday’s proceeds to support Easter Seals Rhode Island’s Early Intervention services,” said Judy Fortier, Director of Development, Easter Seals Rhode Island. “Our programs are designed to support children and their families and it is heartwarming to have a family give back to the community in this way.”

Since 2006, Easter Seals Rhode Island has provided Early Intervention services to children with physical and cognitive developmental delays. It is the goal of Easter Seals Rhode Island’s Early Intervention program to ensure that a child’s development remains on track during those first critical years. Last year, Easter Seals Rhode Island served over 300 children through Early Intervention services.
