Warwick - The Boston Celtics have joined forces with CVS Caremark and Comcast SportsNet New England to generate awareness and support for children and adults with disabilities served by Easter Seals in New England as supporters of Easter Seals’ Walk With Me events this summer.

Celtics Legends including Dana Barros, Tommy Heinsohn and JoJo White, Celtics Dancers and Mascot LUCKY will participate in Walk With Me events in Manchester, NH on June 10th; Providence, RI on June 12th and Boston, MA on June 19th.  All proceeds from these Walk With Me events help assure the availability of Easter Seals services to more than 38,000 children, adults and seniors with disabilities and special needs in communities throughout New England.

“Easter Seals delivers important services to families living with disabilities and special needs in our community,” Boston Celtics Team President Rich Gotham said. “The entire Celtics organization is proud to partner with Easter Seals to  provide support for their upcoming Walk With Me Events.”

The Celtics will tip-off the promotion during their home game on Sunday, March 7, against the San Antonio Spurs. Easter Seals will have a Walk With Me registration table set up on the TD Garden concourse beginning that game and will continue through the end of the regular season on April 14. Additionally, Easter Seals client Trevor Bynum of Springfield, MA will be honored by the team and the Massachusetts State Lottery with the Heroes Among Us Award.

“This promotion plays an important role in generating awareness for Easter Seals and its Walk With Me events throughout New England,” said Larry Gammon, President and CEO of Easter Seals New Hampshire. “Through Walk With Me, Easter Seals engages the support of members of our communities who share our commitment to delivering help and hope to our neighbors living with disabilities and other special needs.  We are grateful to the Celtics, Comcast SportsNet New England, and national Walk With Me sponsor CVS Caremark for their support of Walk, through which we ensure the sustainability and expansion of Easter Seals’ life-changing services.”
