Easter Seals Rhode Island Welcomes Carol Manglass as a New Board of Directors Member

Easter Seals Rhode Island opens its doors to Carol Manglass as she joins the Board of Directors. She is the ninth member to join the 2012 Board of Directors.

For the past six years, Manglass has been an Early Intervention Parent Consultant for the Rhode Island Parent Information Network for the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center, and currently for The James L. Maher Center in Newport, RI. She currently resides in Wakefield, RI with her husband and two daughters, and is an active member of the South Kingstown Special Education Local Advisory Committee and the New England Handicapped Sports Association. The Manglass family learned about the programs and services offered by Easter Seals Rhode Island when their youngest daughter started to receive services through the Pediatric Outpatient Program.

"I care deeply for families who are raising children with special healthcare needs and understand the unique challenges they face,” says Manglass. “It is an honor to be involved with Easter Seals which has had such a positive impact on the lives of children and families, including my own. I look forward to contributing to the enhancement of services for children with special needs and to finding creative ways of filing in gaps in services."

Since 2006, Easter Seals Rhode Island has provided exceptional services to ensure that all children with disabilities or special needs and their families have an equal opportunity to live, learn, work and play in their communities. Last year, Easter Seals Rhode Island served over 400 children through Early Intervention Services and the Pediatric Outpatient Program.
