Children with Special Needs and Disabilities Receive Generous Donation from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island

$1,500 Gift Will Support Easter Seals Rhode Island’s Early Intervention Program

Wakefield—Easter Seals RI announced today they have received a grant in the amount of $1,500 from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island to support the Early Intervention program, which offers evaluation, education and therapy services for children from birth to age three.

“We are humbled by the support we’ve received from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island for their generous gift to this important program for children with disabilities and special needs in the state,” said Larry Gammon, President & CEO Easter Seals RI. “This gift allows our staff to continue to provide exceptional services for children with special needs and disabilities through our Early Intervention program.”

Since 2006, Easter Seals RI has provided Early Intervention services to children with physical and cognitive developmental delays. It is the goal of Easter Seals RI’s Early Intervention program to ensure that a child’s development remains on track during those first critical years.
