             Assistive Technology

Assistive technology (AT) services and devices are offered to both children and adults with disabilities. An AT device is defined as "any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially or off the shelf, modified, or customized, that increases, maintains, or improves functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities." Through our Assistive Technology Center, located at our Chester County Division, as well as through the integration of assistive technology into the curriculum of numerous programs, children, adults and their families are served on the effective use of adaptive computer hardware, software and devices.
