Micro-Enterprise Services

Easter Seals Sierra Nevada provides a range of supports for people with developmental disabilities to help them develop and operate their own businesses. This can help participants earn long-term income and achieve personal goals. Self-employment can offer a much wider range of community participation than traditional vocational training programs.

• Participants design their own business.
• They receive help with start-up, which may include assistance with budgeting, business planning, licensing and marketing.
• A "Micro Advisory Board" is assembled to help with major business decisions.
• An Easter Seals Team Leader will provide ongoing supports for day-to-day operations, or other assistance as needed.
• Easter Seals draws on community resources and partnerships for training and expertise.
