Easter Seals Walk With Me

An Easter Seals Walk With Me event is different... and so will you be at the end of it.

When you sign up for event, you’ll be partnered with an Easter Seals Honorary Ambassador, a child or adult with a disability who has benefited from our services. You’ll get to know your ambassador through photos and personal stories, and you’ll get to meet them on the day of the walk!

Consider gathering friends and coworkers to form a team, or sponsor a walker by making a donation.

Every dollar raised stays here in our community, helping Easter Seals provide services and support for your friends, family and neighbors with disabilities… because everyone deserves to live with equality, dignity and independence.

Join us and make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities!

WWM 2013 Lazo Girls EI

Meet the Lazo Triplets: Sophia, Delia and Sandra.

Sophia, Delia and Sandra, triplets that began receiving services in the Early Childhood Intervention program in January 2011, right after being released from the NICU. They were born prematurely at 26 weeks as three surviving quadruplets. Mom received a phone call from Easter Seals Nevada and was informed about the Early Childhood Intervention services that were offered and agreed to have her daughters evaluated. Sophia and Delia are developmentally delayed and sister Sandra has Cerebral Palsy. Over the course of their therapies, all three girls have made remarkable progress with their skills. Sophia is walking, using some words and very social. Sandra is also walking and showing progress with her communication. Delia is learning to walk with the help of an adult, has developed wonderful language and enjoys playing games with others. The girls have received feeding, nutrition, speech, and occupational therapies along with behavior and translation services from their Easter Seals Nevada Developmental Specialist. Mom is extremely happy with their progress and feels relieved that these services were offered so soon after their birth.
