Disabilities and Their Families

Adult Day Service: Anticipating the Needs of Adults with Disabilities and Older Adults

  • Easter Seals Nevada offers adults and seniors with disabilities and special needs the opportunity to experience community activities that will maximize their self help, socialization and daily living skills.  Our well trained, compassionate staff works with people of all disabilities to improve their quality of life through activities on site and in the community, assisting with their daily needs and providing quality care so family members can continue working.

Assistive Technology:  Providing People with Disabilities with Tools They Need

  • Assistive Technology provides people with disabilities the tools they need to access employment, education and recreation and with those needs met, the road to independence is achievable.  Easter Seals Nevada has a state of the art Assistive Technology lab with equipment to assist individuals in finding what will work best to achieve their goals.  We also provide evaluation, training and worksite assessments.

Child Development Center:  Providing a Learning Environment for Children and Peace of Mind for  Parents

  • Easter Seals Nevada is proud to partner with Sunrise Children's Foundation to offer infant and toddler childcare classrooms at our facility at 6200 West Oakey Blvd. This program employs tools and learning strategies that enable children from low income and underserved populations to enter school ready to succeed.

Early Intervention:  Creating a Family Centered Approach to Planning

  • Research proves that early intervention and individualized service contributes directly to the later success of children and families. Easter Seals Nevada offers a family centered approach to working with children who have special needs ages birth to three years. The services provided to our families occur in their natural home environments and are based on a model of educating the families on how to be the best teacher and advocate for their child.

Employment Solutions:  Employment Services to Prepare Individuals for the Workforce

  • Easter Seals Nevada assists unemployed and under-employed adults challenged with multiple barriers to employment and job skills necessary to find jobs leading to self-sufficiency. The employment program provides job search tools, work readiness, resume building, job placement and training opportunities to prepare for the workforce.

Family Respite:  Providing a Break When Needed

  • Easter Seals Family Respite provides families with a child with a disability the opportunity for relief from the day to day, 24 hour care of that family member.  Families make their own respite arrangements and are reimbursed by Easter Seals Nevada for their expenses.  This program is so important for families who want to keep their child at home but still need time for other pursuits and activities but want to ensure that their child is well cared for by someone they trust.

Information and Referral:  Getting the Right Information for Your Questions

  • Easter Seals Information and Referral provides the information and, where appropriate, referral to community resources to help meet the individual needs of the child and adult with disabilities and their families seeking services.

Community Training Center:  Helping People with Disabilities to Begin their Journey into the World of Work 

  • Easter Seals Nevada’s Supported Employment Program offers work skills training and pre-employment skills as well as real work opportunities to adults with disabilities.  Individuals in this program are provided with staff who will work with them on their social, grooming, and productivity while teaching work skills that may lead to competitive employment.  Our Supported Employment program provides paid work for adults with disabilities in our North Las Vegas facility as well as at community worksites throughout Las Vegas.

In-Home Services:  Providing supports to seniors and adults with disabilities to stay in their own home longer and enjoy their community.

  • Easter Seals Nevada provides the support necessary for seniors and adults with disabilities to live independently in their own home with dignity and choice. We provide person centered services to ensure that each care plan developed is tailored to the person's unique needs, goals, and preferences.  The Easter Seals family of services is ever expanding to meet the needs and help promote wellness, independence and connectivity among the growing number of older Americans. 

Veterans Services:  Providing Support to our Military and Their Families

  • Easter Seals Nevada is proud to offer a wealth of services that benefit active military, veterans and their families.
