Private Duty Nursing
The Private Duty Nursing program in Montana's Cascade County and Butte-Silver Bow area provides in-home nursing services for qualified individuals.
Licensed practical nurses (LPN's) perform the highest standard nursing duties, including:
- Assessments and coordination of patient care
- Ongoing evaluation of patient condition
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Injections
- Venipuncture
- Medication management
- Catheter changes
- Bowel programs
- Urine testing
The LPN's who provide these services are supervised by the Home Care coordinator and a registered nurse (RN) under the direction of the primary physician. The program is funded by either Medicaid or private-pay insurance.
