Ethel Dubois Smith Child Development Center and The Lily Pad at Easter Seals West Kentucky

Inclusive Child Care and Day Health Care is provided to typically developing, special needs and medically fragile children ages six weeks to 12 years. Older children will be assessed on an individual basis.  The child care centers are open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. 5 Day Preschool curriculum available to ages 3, 4 & 5 beginning August 2013.   Care is provided by credentialed staff with structured activities including: art, reading, music, sensory stimulation, gross and fine motor skill development, as well as play time. We currently use "Teaching Strategies Gold" as our educational curriculum for all age groups.

Therapy & Medical Services are available to qualifying children. These services include: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, if determined eligible.The Lily Pad at Easter Seals West Kentucky will  offer medical services to medically fragile children. Our staff will include: licensed R.N's, CNA's and CDA's. Our medical director of The Lily Pad is Dr. John T. Cecil.

  School-age services are available for before- and after-school care.  Transportation is provided from certain schools, depending on the location in the district. Socialization and supervision of homework is provided. Full-day services are provided during holidays and the summer months.  Students are involved in special outings and activiites within the center.

Speech Language Therapy services are provided to any child who qualifies based on evaluation results. 

Physical and Occupational Therapy services are provided to any child who qualifies bases on evaluation results.
