CHILDREN'S DEVELOPMENTAL CENTER
We are seeking pediatric physical therapists for the agency's Children's Developmental Center. Although services have been provided by Southwest Human Development for years, they have evolved into the Children's Developmental Center, partially funded by the Virginia G. Piper Foundation, to provide a wide range of clinical services to young children ages birth to five with complex developmental problems. The Center combines medical, developmental, and mental health services through a transdisciplinary team model.

Developmental pediatricians we are pleased to announce that the Valley's highly acclaimed Daniel B. - Current Arizona licensure in field of practice, as well as:

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will provide quality physical therapy evaluation and family education and coaching to maximize the functional independence of children birth to three within their families' daily routines and activities. BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides direct PT services including evaluations, consultations, development of treatment plans and therapy for consumers.
- Provides support and instruction to parents and/or caregivers and consumers, teachers and other school personnel and coordinate consumer needs with other departments, serving as an advocate when necessary.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable and required documentation including progress notes, treatment plans/goals, letters of medical necessity, daily schedules, bi-weekly time sheets and expense vouchers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Valid certificate as a licensed physical therapist by the Pennsylvania Board of Examiners.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend staff meetings, agency and ECI team in services and trainings.
- Complete continuing education needed to maintain certification/licensure and renew certification/licensure as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
- AA in Applied Sciences, current Texas license in physical therapy, prefer background in pediatrics.
- Knowledge and skills related to achieving successful outcomes for children and families challenged by developmental risk and/or disabilities in a routines-based, primary service provider model.
- Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively with other employees, clients and their families, and other customers of the Center.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with customers, suppliers, co-workers and supervisors.
- Work independently and use good judgment.
- Maintain consistency with administrative and departmental policies through appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism and reliability.
- Knowledge and use of proper handling techniques.
- Computer knowledge including word processing.
- Knowledge about agency services, programs, policies and standards.
- Adhere to safety, health and regulatory requirements as described in the Center’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to organize, allocate time, and manage caseload requirements.
- Respect for the value, potential and dignity of service participants and their families.
- Must be able to lift children up to 30 lbs and sit on the floor for extended periods.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating clients with physical disabilities and/or developmental delays, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services designed to maximize functional independence and mobility. The Physical Therapist will also assist in developing staff in-service trainings, and maintain quality assurance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from and accredited college or university required. Masters Degree preferred.
- Some experience in early childhood development and special needs required. Pediatric experience preferred.
- Successful completion of the examination by the National Board for Certification in Physical Therapy required.
- Current, valid State of Wisconsin license as a Physical Therapist required.
- Must acquire certification through Medicaid.
