  Easter Seals Employment Industry Programs and Services 

 Easter Seals offers a number of vocational rehabilitation services in partnership with state and local agencies, leading toward job training and placement.

 EMPLOYMENT SERVICES:

  •   Employment Planning Services – Assist individuals in learning about employment opportunities within the community and to make informed decisions.  EPS services are individualized to assist individuals to choose employment areas and/or career development opportunities based on his/her preferences, strengths, abilities, and needs. EPS can include situational assessments and job tryouts.
     
  •   Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation & Situational Assessment Services – An individualized and systematic process by which the participant and evaluation staff identifies viable vocational options from which to establish employment goals and objectives.  Assessment includes evaluation of employment skills, within community based worksites.
     
  •  Organizational Employment Services – Designed to provide paid work to persons receiving services in Easter Seal’s workcenter.  Involves a systematic plan of instruction and support in acquiring work related skills & behaviors.  The overall goal of these services is on transitioning to more independent work opportunities.
     
  •  Job Placement Services -A job placement program designed to promote an individual’s ability to work independently in a community employment setting.  Supported Employment models include enclaves (small work groups with a job coach), individual supported (intermittent job coach support), individual placement and mobile work crews.  Competitive wages are paid to all workers for all work performed.

Community Experience Program – A comprehensive range of services for individuals with developmental disabilities, that provides opportunities for community integration and valued adult experiences i.e. volunteering, arts and craft activities, community outings etc.


Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Medicaid Waiver Program

Easter Seals provides the following services for individuals with brain injury who have met the program's eligibility criteria with the Department of Social Services:

  • Pre-vocational Services - designed to develop and improve basic work skills, work tolerance and personal adjustment for employment training and/or job placement, helping to transition individuals into more independent work opportunities.
  • Supported Employment - individually designed to promote a person's ability to work as independently as possible within a community setting.
  • Independent Living Skills Training and Development - individualized training and/or support services designed to assist and promote a person's ability to maximize independence within his or her living arrangement.
