Therapy DOGS ON CALL is an Easter Seals Alabama non-profit organization that supports, trains, organizes, and certifies dogs and their handlers to perform multiple services. Working in Partnership to accomplish our GOALS:Comfort Care in partnership with Hospitals, Assisted Living, Community Programs, VA Facilities, Nursing Homes, and Hospice Care. Children At-Risk in partnership with public and alternative schools. Children with Disabilities in partnership with Easter Seals Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy Services, and special needs classes. Specialized DOC Teams work with children with autism and other disabilities, and special needs families in goal oriented therapy as well as therapy and service dog placements. DOC Teams are called to work with Veterans and patients with loose of limb, paralysis, and brain trauma recovery. Disaster Relief Responders in partnership with Red Cross. Therapy and Service Dog Training: Our volunteers train rescued and donated dogs to be therapy/service dogs, and train people who are disabled how to train their own dogs to be service dogs. Designed to serve Veterans with PTSD and special needs families.
