About the Easter Seals Champion Program

What is the Easter Seals Champion Program?
The Easter Seals Champion Program is a unique initiative designed to allow individuals to create personal Web sites in order to raise funds on behalf of Easter Seals, Inc. and/or its affiliates.

Who benefits from my donation?
All funds raised via the Easter Seals Champion Program will benefit Easter Seals, Inc. and its affiliate organizations to further the organizational mission to provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities have equal opportunity to live, learn, work and play.

Disbursement of funds will not be directed to those individuals who create an Easter Seals Champion Web site, nor to the person honored by the site or the honoree's family. If an honoree is designated, it is the sole responsibility of the Web site creator to discuss his/her intentions to raise money for Easter Seals in the name of the honoree(s) with the honoree(s) and/or the honoree(s) family members, and the honoree(s) or family approve of this endeavor.

Who controls the content on Easter Seals Champion Web sites?
The individual who creates the Easter Seals Champion Web site has the ability to post content and images on the personal Web site. Easter Seals has the right to remove any objectionable content posted to an Easter Seals Champion Web site. Easter Seals also reserves the right to disable any Easter Seals Champion Web site at any time. Easter Seals can contact any individual who has posted an "Easter Seals Champion" Web site about his/her site.

If you viewed any objectionable or inappropriate content on an "Easter Seals Champion Web site or if you have any additional questions, please contact us.

What is the Champion Center?
This is the management center for your personal fundraising Web site. You can update your story and photos, manage donations, send email messages and more.

I tried to register but it says I already have a fund.
Currently, our system allows you to be a Champion for only one fund at a time. Login to your Champion Center to view your fundraising Web page.

Why don’t I see any donations to my fund?
At least two donations need to be made to your fund for them to appear in the “Recent donors” box on your fundraising Web page.

How do I tell others about my Web page?
In your Champion Center, you have access to tools that allow you to easily email your friends and create a personalized Web address that you can share with others.

Can I enter checks or cash donations I receive?
Yes, the online tools allow you to record checks and cash donations that you receive offline and add the amounts to your fundraising total. You can also enter credit card information from friends (with their permission, of course!) if they don’t have access to the Internet. Login to your Champion Center and click on “Fund Summary” and then “Enter Gifts Received Offline” to record these types of donations.
