Easter Seals Louisiana assists individuals living with chronic mental illness in locating and securing medical benefits such as Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security Disability. Our trained mental healthcare staff understands the needs and challenges faced by individuals living with mental illness.

Easter Seals' Mental Health Services specifically targets children and adults living with severe and persistent mental illness, who appear to be eligible for Medicaid/SSI benefits based on their income, but who have otherwise failed to qualify for those benefits on their own. An Easter Seals mental healthcare staff member will guide individuals with mental illness through the application process and follow through with the person in need to ensure that the desired services and resources are obtained.
